The 38th Annual Love-N-Care Street Fair will be held from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday, June 12, in Cameron Park, located on the 200 block of Market Street in downtown Sunbury. Proceeds from this year’s event, "Celebrating a History of Community", will benefit the Mary Derr Rockefeller Auxiliary, an extension of the Sunbury Area Health Foundation.

According to event organizers, this year’s fair will once again showcase great food, games, and entertainment. Members of the Elks Lodge 267 along with the Sunbury City Band will hold the opening ceremony beginning at 9 a.m. Entertainment will be featured throughout the afternoon, including performances by Moyer’s Institute of Dance and Warrior Concepts International. The popular band Burning Hayden will play at 3 p.m.

"The Street Fair offers an economical day of fun for families and friends," said fair chairman Truman R. Purdy, of Sunbury. "The proceeds will be donated to the Foundation again in 2010 and will be used to support local students with scholarships, local projects, and residents throughout our communities. We would like to thank all the individuals and businesses that help make this fundraising event a success each year."
